Opening this week in Edinburgh, The Atholl describes itself – entirely accurately, no doubt – as ‘Edinburgh’s most exclusive luxury hotel’. It comprises just four luxury suites, for which the nightly rates vary from £1,000 to £2,500 (roughly $1,600 to $4,000).
Why does this appeal to Cask Tales, you might wonder (aside from our regrettably expensive tastes)? Well, I’ll let the establishment’s own website explain, with its blurb on, inevitably, one of the two priciest suites, The Dundonald…
This three bedroom suite, ranged over two floors, has an opulent and grand living room with stunning views that opens up onto an oversized, state of the art kitchen, all on the first floor .The second floor consists of all three bedrooms as well as its very own private whisky tasting room. A truly memorable Edinburgh experience.
So there it is. If any readers stay there, do let us know – and have one for us!
You could always invite us up, too…
I second that. We’d happily kip on the sofas!
I don’t think I would ever leave!
